Building faith and friendship
"Palm Sunday/Return the Community Cross Procession" (see the slide show of this year's walk on our "News and Events" page)
The Easter Season starts with the beginning of Lent on Ash Wednesday, March 25th.
Our special services this year will be:
Palm Sunday after our regular Sunday Service (10:30-11:30 AM) we will walk the Community Cross that has been in our sanctuary back to it's home location above Glendora Ridge Road where it stood overlooking our community for the last 40+ years. Each person on the walk will have the opportunity to carry the cross in the same manner as Christ carried His cross to Calvary. We will have a picnic lunch (BYOB_Bring Your Own Bag) for those who remain for a time of prayer after the cross is reinstalled on the hill. Please use our "Contact Us" page and let us know if you will walk with us and if you would like to help carry the cross. An RSVP is not required, your contact information will be used for planning purposes only. Open to everyone.
"Maunday Thursday/Passover" (Odd numbered years only)
On Maunday Thursday we host a Christian Passover meal in our Fireside area. The Jewish Passover, called a "Seder" includes recitations from the Haggadah (Jewish Seder book) with an inspiring history of the Exodus. As we experiance one of the most important Jewish celebrations we will look at the clues to the coming Messiah contained within it and how Christ may have experianced the Last Supper. We normally offer this opportunity every two years, so please don't miss this event. If you are interested please use our "Contact Us" page to let us know how many of you will be participating. RSVP's are requires for this event in order to manage the food preparation.
Easter Sunday
Easter Sunday starts with our 8 AM Sunrise Service at the Community Cross (picture above). After the service we have a Continental Breakfast at the church. Our Easter Sanctuary Service starts at it's normal 10:30 AM.
