Fireside Chats- A more intimate Word of God

Fireside #2; Do Not Let Your Hearts Be Troubled

In this video Pastor Ron recaps the "Fireside 1' video, "Christian Grace" to answer questions asked from viewers.  Following that recap he leads the viewers through an examination of the disciples thoughts and the reaction of Jesus as indicated in John 14:1-4.  This reflection on that passage will give comfort to those who often or occasionally feel that they fall short in their walk with God.  Some audio and video difficulties occurred during the recording of this video, but hopefully they do not detract significantly from its message.

Fireside #1; Christian Grace; Peace and Love

In this video Pastor Ron introduces a new format for communicating with our community of faith; the Fireside Chat.  In this first installment Pastor Ron addresses the stress and fear in our society and makes the case for the understanding of how trusting in the Grace of Salvation can provide a peace in our souls.  Replacing anxiety and stress with the joy of the Lord is the second theme of the offering.

Coming in March Fireside #3

Topic suggestions and questions welcome.

Let There Be Peace On Earth

In this message, Pastor Ron explains how viewing every person as in the 'Image of God' can help us move closer to Peace on Earth through a real Brotherhood of Mankind.  From Genesis to Titus the message challenges the viewer to seek changes in our own perceptions and refinement of our own walk with God to bring both internal and external peace in our lives.

Abiding in Jesus

In this message Pastor Ron speaks about the journey and 'Fruit of the Spirit' benefits gained through Christian maturity.  The message includes a warning of the perils of remaining as spiritual infants that occurs when the learning of the  'righteousness' of discipleship is not undertaken and replaced with the 'easy path' of Christian light teaching.

Blessed Are the Peacemakers

In this video, the advantages of an Interdenominational (Think; All one Body in Christ) mindset will help both the individual Christian achieve a greater personal peace, but will also assist in creating an empathetic and loving means of pursuing peace with others.  Unfortunately the video quality is not up to our standards, but we believe the message will bless you.

Christian Freedom in Babylon

In this message we look at the devastating damage of "Cheap Grace" on the effectiveness of the church in creating positive change and resisting negative change in society.  Our message is a challenge to be the salt and the light of the world and not to shrink from the conflicts before us.

Living Our Salvation

Our message today examines the difference between 'Living in the Protective Grace of our Salvation' and 'Living Our Salvation's purpose.  Another way of describing the message is the exhortation to do more with our Salvation then to keep it in an 'Emergency Use' case rather than applying ourselves to discipleship and reaping the rewards of a the bountiful life God desires for us.

Establishing God Goals for 2021

Our message for the New Year was directed toward understanding our true needs and establishing "God Goals" instead of 'Resolutions".  Pastor Ron uses the 'Family Feud' format to compare the ideas which we think we 'need' versus what God has given us, in His eternal design, that we truly need.

Epiphany; The Rest of the Story

Please enjoy our message today, "Epiphany, The Rest of the Story."  I believe you'll enjoy learning more about the possible evidence of the "Bethlehem Star" and the Wise Men who presented their gifts to Jesus in Bethlehem.

If you are blessed by the message please share it and/or "Like" our Facebook page or subscribe to our YouTube channel 'MBVChurch'.

Advent 4; The Unfathomable Love of Father God

In this video Faith and Father God become part of the 'Continuum' of the Advent Wreath's; Hope, Peace, Joy, Love and Christ.  The discussion of the 'Continuum includes a deeper understanding of the levels of love, so that the disciple may apply the teachings of 1 Corinthians 13 to better communicate the love of God.  The message starts at 17:14 in the service.

Advent 3; Joy, The Gateway to Love

In this video Pastor Ron explains the relationship between Faith and the Hope and Peace of God that becomes the Gateway to Joy.  In the video there is an emotionally moving video clip that illustrates this profound relationship.  It's a message of Hope, Peace and Joy that will prepare the listener's heart to fully receive God's love and to give and receive love from their neighbors.

Advent Two; Peace- The Peaceful Heart

In this message Pastor Mike shares the lessons demonstrated by Mary in Luke 1, when she learned that she would give birth to Jesus.  Comparing her peace, which clearly was from God and of God, in what was a very culturally dangerous undertaking (to bear a child while unwed) provides insight on how we can gain peace during times of our own trials.  The worship is preceded by a moment in recognition of Advent 2 as Pastor Ron and his wife, Gay, light the second Advent candle; Peace.  Pastor Mike's

Advent One, Are Your Prepared for Love?

Our Advent message, "Are You Prepared For Love", describes how today's society prepares us to look for the worst rather than the best of history, people and faith. This prevents us from being prepared to love. We are not given a message to be ignorant of the true wrongs and evil, but we are given a message of fairness, forgiveness and love. Our message today begins at 16:20 of the video. A new Christmas worship song, The Best Gift of All' by Tiffany Rony follows the message.

Christian Thanksgiving and Boldness

Hi Everyone,

Please enjoy our message today on Christian Thanksgiving and Christian Boldness.  In the message I teach from the history and lessons of both the Thanksgiving of 1607 in Jamestown VA and Plymouth Rock MA in 1621.  I also am prayerful that you will be inspited to boldly proclaim your faith in the love of Jesus.
The message starts at 16:30 of the video.

Our Victory is in the Lord

In this Message (Starting at 22:42 in the we look at the history of the Jews which led to their defeat by the Babalonians and their release from exile when the Babylonians were defeated by the Persians.  We compare the promises to the Jewish nation to the promises and origin of the United States and bring focus to the downfall of Israel due to their turning away from God to our nation's current current turning away from God.  Texts include 2 Chronicles 7:14 and the first 2 chapters of Nehemiah

Video

In this message Pastor Ron explores the OT Law, the Words and Actions of Jesus and the Laws application to today's Christian.  Laws that are cerimonial or specific to the time written are sperated from the eternal and universal laws by simply asking, "Does this law bring me closer to God and closer to Christ's commandments to love God and heighbors as ourselves?"  If the answer is no, the law is rejected as cerimonial or time specific.

The message starts at 22 minutes into the service.

Video

In the midst of our current trials, political, health and racial we need to trust in God and seek with the perseverance of faith that leads to Christian maturity (ref: James 1).  Recognizing , in faith, that the the darkness will transition to light, just as salvation and sanctification leads from the darkness of unbelief is activating our faith in the eternal.

Video

Pastor Mike's message, "Tapping Out" reveals God's plan to help us to reach new levels of faith.  He also shares insight from Matthew 11:28-29 "“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Why God?

This message is intended to support those who desire to have ready a Christian response to the question, "Since God is everywhere, why is attending a church necessary?"  For those who desire to be able to respond with more than their personnal testimony of their hope and faith in Jesus, the message offers a sound scriptural foundation on why church attendance is so important to Christian faithfulness.  Good information, from scripture, for future conversations with those who claim that Jesus is

Video

In this video we celebrate God in our lives through worship, then at 18:18 in the video we begin our message.  Our message explores how we can dig deeply into the Book of Proverbs to glean important insights on living for God today.
