The sound of the stream which passes to the left of the wall shown in this photograph makes this space extra inviting. Sun-sails are in use except during wind events and during our snow season. Our patio is not square but measures roughly 35' x 18'.
Our two 14' x 16' classrooms double as breakout rooms.
Located just one mile away the Mt Baldy Cross and ampitheater has seating for 60 on split logs. A 100 yard easy hike is required from the parking area. The Mt Baldy Cross is located just one mile from the Mt Baldy Village Church.
Our beautiful wood, rock and glass sanctuary offers a magnificent view of the local mountains and is set beside a running creek. The church offers a seating capacity for 120 persons when set up as a conference setting. ((Pew seating (70) ; Fireside folding chairs (32) and Loft Area (18 chairs)).
Four breakout areas: Two classrooms (14' x 16'), a Fireside Area (21' x 17') and the Patio (35' x 18'). The Fireside area's wood burning fireplace provides a special kind of God's warmth to enjoy while sipping a Hot Chocolate in the evening. Please note that MBVC does not supply wood for the fireplace or the Hot Chocolate .
Loocated just one mile from the church building, the Mt Baldy Cross is a beautiful ampitheater space with log seating for 60. The site features a 50+ year old wooden cross and views above the Mt Baldy Village. The site is a place of serenity for a time of meditation while admiring a terrific view of God's creation. Access to the site requires a short 100 yard walk from the nearest parking space on Glendora Ridge Road.
One Unisex Handicap accessable restroom that also serves as the Men's restroom. One Women's restroom with two stalls, double sink and changing table which is easily moved to the Men's restroom if required.
Parking: Church parking lot: 18 cars double parked (reserved spaces). Church/Lodge parking lot (spaces not reserved) 25 cars. Alternate parking lot ( located 150 feet from the church): 20 cars (spaces not reserved).
Hadicap Accessability: One Unisex Handicap accessable restroom. Wheelchair Ramp from parking lot to the church front doors. Center aisle accomodates standard wheelchair width and pews may be adjusted as necessary.
A professional coffee maker is available for use with your provided coffee (we'll supply the filters and coffee pots). A full kitchen with refrigerator, and electric double oven with range top. And an outdoor Bar-B-Que (you supply your own propane tank). Some cooking utensils are available, but it is recommended that you bring your own cooking and Bar-B-Que utensils.
High Speed Internet through our 15 mbps Wifi. 88 Key Digital Piano, Professional Stage Lighting, Also available for your use: five 30"' x 6' folding tables; two 3' x 3' card tables; 40 folding chairs (20 padded)
Professional Soundboard; Video Projector with 12' diagonal electrically operated screen for the sanctuary; CD and Tape systems. These systems require an MBVC technician to set up and return for use by the church following your retreat
Please contact our Retreat and Wedding Coordinator, Gay Thomas, at 909-230-8532. She will discuss with you the availble dates and send you a conract. Your retreat date is reserved upon reciept of your deposit and signed contract. Your $100 deposit will be returned within 1 week of your event if no damage occurs.
Single Day (No Earlier Than 7 AM to No Later Than 6 PM) Event: $300. Two Day Event: $450. Local lodging is encouraged at the Mt Baldy and Snowcrest Lodges. However, guest may sleep in the church, using the two classroom spaces if desired. No beds, linens or shower facilities are provided. Retreat Fee (in addition to your deposit) is due 30 days or earlier before event. Additional fees may apply for MBVC AV Tech and/or Trash removal.
Our Audio Visual systems are carefully adjusted for our Sunday Worship services. If you require use of these systems for your retreat our AV tech will make sure that you are set up properly, and when your retreat is completed he/she will return the systems to their original settings. The fee for the AV tech assistance and for use of these systems is $50.
We have bears who love trash so, we require that you dispose of all trash generated during your retreat. If you would like us to take care of disposing of your trash the fee is $50
We realize that retreats have an important influence on staff development and that costs are sometimes an obstacle. We want to help when we can to help you reach God's vision for your small church.
We want you to enjoy every feature of our church home, but the mountains have some limitations that you should be aware of. 1) Because of high winds and snow conditions, the Sun-Sails may not be available between October and April. 2) Our fireplace is a naturally aspirated wood burning fireplace so, occasionally the fire can not be used during high wind and extreme fire hazard conditions. 3) We have 'critters' (Racoons, Bears and such) which means no trash can remain on the premises after your retreat. It is most helpful if you remove all trash and take it with you after your retreat (there is no local dumsters available), but if necessary, we can arrange for it to be removed for an additional $50 fee.
